Fiber is going up around Marion County and more connections are being made. Available for connection this week are parts of Valley View Highway from the Betsy Pack intersection to Easterly Road, including Dancing Fern, Coppinger Cove, Dixon Cove, Waterfall Road, Shady Grove Rd, Sequatchie Lane, parts of Mel Dixon and more. Locations on Valley View Highway north of Easterly Road will be made available for connection later this year.
These areas are also fiber-ready:
- Kimball
- Sweeten's Cove
- South Pittsburg (town)
- Richard City
- Jasper (west of Highway 28 including Betsy Pack, Pryor Cove, Gamble Subdivision)
Part of New Hope will be ready to connect this summer. It will be later this year before the east side of New Hope will be ready (from Port Road around Colonial Chemical to The Bluffs).
Fiber construction to the Tennessee Broadband Accessibility Act grant area of Whitwell Mountain and Griffith Creek will begin this year.
Announcements will be made in the future of other areas that will be connected, including Sequatchie Mountain, Suck Creek, east side of Jasper, Battle Creek, South Pittsburg Mountain, Powell's Crossroads, Mullins Cove and Jasper Highlands.
